  • Okay, Here Goes!

Greetings to all of you are reading this first entry. I am sure that it is obvious that I am blissfully unaware of any format regulations, etc... but please do not be too hard on me.

Today was a rather interesting day for me as I found myself being a virtual prisoner in my home. Due to the less than accommodating weather for an "adventure in orchard management", I decided to get caught up on domestics. I spent a good portion of the day ironing, organizing my books, and trying to keep the woodstoves burning. I hate to admit, but I would absolutely crave another 2 or 3 days of this weather; there are a LOT of things that I can do around the house to lighten the load for my grandmother. Normally I am at odds trying to keep the exterior maintained but the interior has indeed been lacking since my grandfather's illness.

Grandpa... ah yes. He is scheduled to have a CAT Scan to determine the extent of a suspected blockage in his carotid artery. He had an endarterectomy 10 years ago and they told him that his left carotid artery was 100% blocked. The doctor said he could have been born that way, but we all know that being married to a professional "soul food" chef has not helped matters. It leaves me to wonder if I might not be plagued by the same unfortunate condition. I sure have packed away millions of calories during my "reign" as the officially spoiled brat of the Clark household for 22 years and 4 months.

For my readers, yes I do intend on posting Real Estate/Investment advice and personal opinions on this blog in the near future. My opinions are going into overdrive with the implementation of certain socialistic "advancements" to our nation's already indebtedness; so bear with me until I can coherently present my "two cents worth" without harsh, partisan rhetoric. Phew!

Is God good? Does he hear the cries of those who are in need? Does he still visit the widow in her desolate state, the fatherless who seeks the arms of a strong Guardian to hold him/her? The answer is YES! I am amazed daily as I consider his handiwork and am encouraged by the fresh opportunity to leave a positive impact on a dying society every day. I feel that God would respond this way, if we were to ask him what the purpose is of his unspeakably beautiful creation.
                    I DID THIS TO:
Imbue your oft blank vision with a shade of subtle blue,
Mingled with the freshness of incandescent morning dew.

As I paint the fallen leaves of autumn with a lethal, golden hue
I am pouring out my sorrows, all the years I spent in search of you.

Every color you behold, is a blessing I have told
With thoughtful admiration, to you I give creation.

Please excuse my feeble attempts at composing poetry. Grandpa has been encouraging me to write poetry, and I think he might be on to something. Maybe I will add more to this, should further inspiration be given.
Thanks to everyone who read my thoughts, and I look forward to giving each of you a glimpse into my life
